Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) – Charge Up LA
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) offers the Commercial EV Charging Station Rebate Program to support the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. As of January 14, 2025, the program is closed for Level 2 and DC fast chargers for light-duty vehicles but remains open for medium- and heavy-duty EV charging stations. Rebates cover up to $125,000 per charging station, depending on power output, with a maximum of $500,000 per site. Eligible applicants include LADWP commercial customers with active non-residential electric meters. The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District (VCAPCD) is offering $1.5 million in grants for electric vehicle chargers along Highway 126, covering Fillmore, Santa Paula, and Piru. Grants cover 85%-100% of eligible costs for Level 2 and DCFC chargers, which must be public or employee-accessible for 3-8 years. Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are allocated.
CA EVC-RAA 2024
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is offering up to $59,484,345 in grants to enhance non-operational public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The goal is to repair, replace, and install at least 1,302 charging ports across the state. REACH 3.0
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is offering $19 million in grants to enhance electric vehicle (EV) charging access for residents of multifamily housing (MFH) through the REACH 3.0 program. The initiative aims to boost EV adoption among MFH residents, defined as properties with multiple dwelling units, excluding single-family homes. This competitive solicitation is open to all public and private entities, including California Native American Tribes, and will close on January 22, 2025.
CCAPCD Carl Moyer Program 2025
CCAPCD’s Carl Moyer Program Year 2025 offers grants for cleaner engines and equipment. Peninsula Clean Energy: EV Ready Program
Peninsula Clean Energy’s EV Ready Program is a $28 million initiative to install 3,500 EV charging ports in San Mateo County over four years. Eligible commercial customers can receive up to $90,000 for level 2 stations at Multi-unit properties or employee parking lots. Publicly accessible non-residential sites may receive up to $20,000. For new construction, Multi-unit dwellings can get up to $40,000, $100,000 for Affordable Housing, and Public Agency locations can receive up to $250,000.
Anaheim Public Utilities: Private Use EV Charger Rebate
Anaheim Public Utilities is offering rebates up to $1,000 for business customers who install a networked Level 2 EV charger. The charger can be used for personal or business purposes without public access.
PG&E MF & Small Business EV Charging Program
PG&E’s Multifamily and Small Business EV Charger Program plans to install 2,000 Level 1 and Level 2 chargers at 450 locations, including multifamily properties, non-profits, and small businesses. Property owners in underserved areas can participate at no cost, with up to 2 years of fees covered. Those outside these areas will need to share costs.
SMUD Commercial EV Program
The SMUD Commercial Electric Charger Incentive Program is now accepting rebate applications for Level 2 and DC fast chargers. SMUD offers $1,500 per Level 2 EV charging port at workplaces and multifamily locations, with a maximum of 20 incentives per property. For DC fast charger projects, incentives can reach up to $100,000 for those with at least two DC fast chargers and one Level 2 station.
Electrify Riverside
Riverside Public Utilities offers a rebate for commercial customers who install Level 2 (240-Volt) or higher public access EV chargers. Customers can receive reimbursement for equipment costs up to $5,000 per charging station, or $10,000 for schools, qualified affordable housing developments, or publicly accessible DC fast chargers (maximum of 5 stations per location).
CEC Military EV Chargers
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is providing $7M for military agencies and authorized private entities in California to install EV chargers through GFO-23-608. Reimbursement will cover up to 50% of eligible costs, up to $1.5M for military agencies, or 100% up to $1.5M for private entities. Applications open on June 17, 2024, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Modesto Irrigation District: Electric Vehicle Charger Program
Modesto Irrigation District (MID) offers commercial customers up to $350 per Level 2 charger rebate, with a limit of 6 ports per location.
City of Redding Commercial Electrification Rebates
The City of Redding is currently offering customers installing DC fast chargers a rebate of up to $6,000 per station. Customers may apply for rebates on up to five stations, every five years and could be eligible for an additional demand fee credit on their electric bill.
Antelope Valley EVCS Grant Program
The Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District (AVAQMD) offers up to 70% reimbursement for the equipment and installation of EV charging stations. This opportunity is available for LEED certified buildings, retail centers, centers of worship, hospitals, and public transit areas, and is first-come, first-served.
San Luis Obispo County: Alt Fuel Infrastructure Grant
The SLO APCD’s Alt Fuel and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program offers funding for up to 50% of eligible infrastructure costs, or 60% for publicly accessible projects, with maximum amounts detailed in the RFP. Projects under AB923 may qualify for up to 65%. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
El Dorado County: AQMD Infrastructure Project
The El Dorado County Air Quality Management District, along with State and Federal agencies, offers up to $50,000 in grants for EV charging station projects, with a maximum of $5,000 per charger. Matching funds must include electricity, designated parking spaces, and public access.
CEC EnergIIZE Drayage 2025
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is offering $50M for drayage fleets to install Level 2 and DC fast chargers through the EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles: Drayage Set-Aside 2024. Reimbursement is available for up to 75% of project costs (max $750,000) for standard applicants or up to 90% (max $1M) for those meeting equity criteria or installing 10+ ports. Applications are open until Q1 2025.
CEC EnergIIZE Transit 2025
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is offering $15M for transit fleets in CA to purchase and install Level 2 and DC fast chargers through the EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles: Transit Set-Aside 2024. CEC will reimburse up to 75% of project costs (max $500,000) for standard applicants, or up to 90% (max $750,000) for those meeting equity criteria. Applications are open until Q1 2025.

City of Burbank Charging Station Rebate

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJ BPU) is offering $12 million through its Clean Fleet EV Incentive Program for local and state governments and nonprofits to purchase L2 and DC fast chargers. NJ BPU will reimburse up to $4,000 for each fleet L2 charger, $50,000 for each fleet DC charger, and up to $5,000 for make-ready for each L2 charger and $50,000 for each DC charger.
